Schools' Oral Healthcare Programme

Ongoing since 2007 Ohaozara LGA, Ebonyi State & Mukuru, Kenya

Primarily addresses dental caries (one of the most common non-communicable diseases globally). Involves the application of fluoride on teeth of young people, providing dental education, and distributing toothbrushes and toothpastes.

ImpactReaches 400 to 800 pupils, students, community groups and teachers per mission trip. Referred patients have treatment costs borne by AWM.

Scholarship Scheme for Indigent Students

2024 Ohaozara LGA, Ebonyi State, Nigeria

Awards scholarships to indigent secondary school students who would otherwise have to drop out. Selected through a rigorous system by a local scholarship administrator.

ImpactCurrently supports 200 recipients across 8 secondary schools. Prioritizes the girl child to prevent early marriage withdrawals. Earned an award from the Nigeria Union of Teachers (Ohaozara) for contributions to education.

Schools' Toilet Project

2025 Community High School & Umunaga Community Primary School, Uburu

Constructed Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) latrine toilets to prevent open defecation which adversely impacts health. Funded by Dr & Mrs Reijnierse foundation.

ImpactBenefits over 500 pupils, students and staff in the two locations, significantly improving health and sanitation.

Agape Centre

Current Uburu, Ohaozara LGA, Ebonyi State

Currently working to complete an Agape Centre which will serve as the hub of the organisation's work in Nigeria.

ImpactThe building will house a health centre for medical and dental services, and provide training facilities for healthcare workers.

Agape Open Door Initiative Collaboration

2024 Nigeria

Started collaboration with a registered Nigerian Charity, Agape Open Door Initiative (AODI), to help facilitate the execution of community projects.
